Photonics West 2026: A Successful Wrap-Up from Luximprint
The 2026 edition of SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco has come to a close, and what an inspiring event it was! Held from January 17–22 at the Moscone Center (with the main exhibition running January 20–22), the show once again proved to be the premier gathering for the global photonics community. At Luximprint, we had a fantastic time reconnecting with industry peers, partners, and new contacts. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by booth #6305 in the West Hall to discover our latest advancements in 3D printed optics and Optographix.
It was a genuine pleasure engaging in so many thoughtful discussions about our proprietary Printoptical Technology and the innovative solutions it enables. Our team—strengthened by our dedicated California sales representatives from SilvaCo and supported by key members from our global headquarters—delivered an outstanding performance over the three exhibition days. We were thrilled to welcome a steady stream of visitors, including many from the Bay Area and international attendees, both familiar faces and new prospects eager to explore the possibilities in custom optics.
Key Highlights from Our Booth
This year, we placed special emphasis on two exciting product categories that drew significant attention:
3D Printed Light Guides (Light Guiding Plates – LGPs): Planar Light Guiding Elements offer an efficient light distribution across large surfaces. These solutions address longstanding challenges in uniform illumination for displays, lighting, and architectural applications.
3D Printed Facet Lenses: Leveraging advanced design tools, these complex-surface lenses enable precise beam control and are ideal for compact, high-performance optical systems.
Alongside these highlights, we showcased a broad selection of custom optics samples, demonstrating the speed, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness of our additive process. By eliminating traditional tooling and post-polishing steps, Printoptical Technology dramatically shortens time-to-market while maintaining optical-grade quality straight from the printer.

Next Steps and Resources
If we spoke about a specific project or application during the show, expect to hear from one of our team members shortly. We’re happy to provide deeper technical details—beyond standard datasheets—including material properties like transmission curves, refractive indices, or photometric data.
For more on what we offer:
Explore our full Printoptical Capabilities overview on the website, including downloadable specs for design guidelines, materials (such as LUX Standard and LUX Crystalline), and process limits. Not seeing exactly what you need? Reach out—we often support extended or R&D-guided capabilities not yet publicly listed.
Reference Samples:
Visit our B2B Sample Shop for off-the-shelf reference optics and Optographix samples. These are great for quick technology validation, with options for custom samples at a reduced fee. Don’t forget to use the reference code you’ve received from us at the event!
Facing tight timelines?
Let us know via the contact form if your inquiry is urgent—we prioritize time-sensitive developments.
It was wonderful to reconnect with so many of you in person. Thank you for the enthusiasm, insightful questions, and shared passion for pushing the boundaries of light manipulation through additive manufacturing.
We’re already looking ahead to Photonics West 2027 and will share our new booth details as soon as they’re confirmed. In the meantime, stay connected via our website, newsletter, or social channels—we’d love to continue the conversation and help bring your next optical idea to life. See you soon!
