FOCUS – Future Optical Components for Ultimate Dispersion Control Strategies
We are delighted to share that Luximprint will be contributing to FOCUS – Future Optical Components for Ultimate Dispersion Control Strategies, a recently granted NWO (Dutch Research Council) Perspectief project.
FOCUS: The Challenge
Several leading Dutch high-tech industries share a common challenge: the production of semiconductors, lighting, and optical instruments requires the ability to bend and focus light of many different colors. To this end, FOCUS is concentrating on the development of new, small, and accurate optical components. The project aims to result in more precise and faster design methods, better manufacturing processes, new lens materials, and new measurement techniques to assess the quality of the components produced.
FOCUS: The Consortium
Under the scope of the FOCUS project, Luximprint will join a consortium of high-tech partners, including Anteryon, ASML, JMO, Nanoscribe, SCHOTT, Signify and Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, and University of Twente.

FOCUS is guided by Nandini Bhattacharya, Delft University of Technology.
From our unique discipline, we will help shape the next-generation optical components to the best of our fabrication skills, including enhanced design processing methods, improved Printoptical manufacturing capabilities and new lens materials.
We’re greatly looking forward to what the new year 2026 will offer and to getting the FOCUS project started!
