3D Printed Frosted Finishes Sample

Frosted surfaces are a process capability rather than a custom lens product. The possibility of applying ‘wanted roughness’ onto optical and non-optical surfaces along with the printing of the functional lenses or textures is a truly unique asset. Whereas this is a two-fold process in conventional optics fabrication, the Luximprint Additive Optics Fabrication process offers this feature in one single run.

Frosted Finishes Applications

Frosted finishes can be applied to avoid glare in functional lighting applications, create enhanced privacy in public- or workspaces (anti-look-through) or generates dispersed light. Interestingly, frosted finishes can also be applied onto existing lenses and lens sheets.
