Optics Design
Optics design (or: optical design) is the process of designing a lens to meet a set of project performance requirements and constraints, including cost and fabrication limitations.
Design parameters include surface profile types (spherical, aspheric, holographic, diffractive, etc.), as well as the radius of curvature, distance to the target surface, material type and optionally tilt and decenter.
Generally, the process is computationally intensive, using ray tracing or other techniques to model how the lens affects light that passes through it.
Luximprint Optics Design Services
At Luximprint, we closely cooperate with recognized independant optical designers from around the globe. You will find them listed in our Optics Design Hub. Any of the listed designers is qualified to work conforms Luximprint Printing Capabilities to ensure our users can fully benefit the flexible and cost-effective optical 3D printing process offers.
